3rd Annual Fashion in Motion Scholarship Program

CTIA is proud to bring you the 3rd annual FIM scholarship program – open to Technology and Fashion College and University Students.  The focus of this project is to combine wireless technology & fashion and produce visions of the future in Wearable Wireless Communication Technology.

Attention Students:  this project requires you to submit existing or prototype products that will be judged by leaders in both the technology and fashion industries.  Selected products will be showcased in the fashion show, with the winner featured in the finale. 

CTIA's technology fashion show, Fashion in Motion, is a collection of the most innovative and creative products and prototypes in the wearable wireless arena.  This couture style fashion show features the latest wireless devices, accessories, technical textiles, smart fabrics, and fashions available today, along with the futuristic visions of tomorrow. 

Manon Maneenwa of the University of Bridgeport was awarded the prize in 2006 for his prototype Triple Watch Cell Phone.  

Ozan Cakmakci of College of Optics & Photonics, University of Central Florida was awarded the prize in 2007 for his Eye-glass Based Display. 

 

DEADLINE: All entries must be received by March 7, 2008.

Participation and Submission Rules:

1. All entries must be designed by current students of technology or fashion colleges and universities.
2. Entries will be submitted through an online process. Up to 3 pictures may be uploaded for each entry. These pictures will be used in the judging process so be sure to submit images that best reflect your product. All entries must be received by Friday, March 7, 2008.
3. Entry in the competition entitles CTIA the rights to use any products/images for promotional materials created by CTIA and/or its partners.
4. As there may be too many product entries to include all of them in the fashion show, CTIA has final decision of which products will be shown.
5. CTIA and the judges reserve the right to interpret all conditions regarding this competition without claim for damage or recourse of any kind.  CTIA and the judges may make decisions on entry qualifications ass they see fit and disqualify an entry at their discretion.
6. Products that have appeared in any previous Fashion in Motion shows are not eligible for entry.
7. Products that were entered in the previous Fashion in Motion Scholarship contest are not eligible for re-entry.
8. The judges’ selection of the scholarship winner is final.
9. The winning student will be notified by March 14, 2008.
10. The scholarship award will be sent to the winner by May 30, 2008.
